The historical sections of the area are painstakingly preserved for historical benefit. You could spend a lifetime seeing all the historical sites in Charleston.

Economically, Charleston has survived the crunch of the past few years, amazingly well. With a constantly increasing population, new opportunities for business are endlessly presenting themselves. And with an extremely friendly business climate, companies like Google, Chrysler, and Boeing have joined smaller software, retail, and manufacturing companies here in the good life. A highly educated workforce, high quality of life and some of the best tax rates in the country. What could be better?
