Moncks Corner

Moncks Corner is a small northern suburban area of Charleston consisting of just 4.5 square miles.  It’s home to Santee Cooper’s (state owned electric and water utility) corporate office complex.  


The town originally began as a 1700’s trading post with a shops and taverns.  A train depot was built in the 1800’s and that’s when the town really gained traction.  


Today it’s home to Cypress Gardens, a sprawling and beautiful nature preserve.  


Moncks Corner is about 40 minutes from Downtown Charleston and homes range from $50,000 up to near $1 Million for waterfront property.  Most properties are in the $150K to $300K range.
